Thank you for existing, seriously.
As an avid traveller, I love that when we meet at a day party or at the coffee shop we can exchange adventures, laugh at some of things we notice that are different on other continents and the struggle of going local. We envy each other’s adventures and jump at the chance to hear about the place we’ve been trying to go for years.
Some of my friends think it’s bizarre that traveling or the desire to travel is a deal breaker for me. However, you my friend know how those experiences will change you. Not every experience is going to be amazing and you will get knocked down a couple of times, but seeing how truly amazing and different this world is, is a gift in itself.
Whether you travel alone or have your #travelsquad, thank you for going beyond these borders and broadening your horizons (literally and figuratively). Some of my friends have traveled both near and far and living vicariously through them when I’m waiting for my next flight is such a fun experience. Getting to see places that I have yet to step foot on through instagram or snapchat helps spread the travel bug and motivate me to book another flight as soon as possible.
By venturing out and seeing the world, you are only encouraging future generations to truly experience living outside these borders and craft a story of colors and people that can only be found in distant lands and I thank you for that. Thank you for being a role model to the little boys out there and showing them the world is TRULY theirs for the taking.
So, Mr. Traveling Man: thank you for the colorful conversations, raw snapchats, carefully curated images and inadvertently setting up the next generation for a world without borders.
Three women going through life.
