I recently had a layover in Paris and decided that despite the short duration of my transit - 8 hours, I was going to see as much of Paris as I could! And so, I decided that I would visit the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral. When determining which sites to see, I thought about:
8:30am - 9am: train ride (RER B) to the Saint Michele Notre Dame stop.
9am - 10am: explore Notre Dame Cathedral
10am - 10:15am: train ride on the C to Champs de Masse Tour Eiffel stop
10:15am - 11:15am: explore Eiffel Tower and surrounding area
11:15am - noon: brunch at Castel Cafe near the Eiffel Tower
Noon - 12:15pm: train ride on the C to the Saint Michele Notre Dame stop
12:20pm - 1:20pm: train ride (RER B) to Charles de Gaulle airport
1:30pm: check - in for my flight
Once I had these factors evaluated, I picked my two ‘must-see’ locations and headed out. Oh! I almost forgot the most important thing: a meal in Paris! I don’t care if you make it to all the places that you want to see, just don’t forget to factor in a place to eat! It’s important that you stop and just take the city in, which is what eating at a cafe gives you!
