A few weeks ago we wrote a post about events to check out this summer. One of those events was titled Henny Palooza. We wouldn’t suggest you go anywhere that we weren’t willing to try so here’s a quick recap of Henny Palooza ATL.
As a quick refresher, Henny Palooza is an event that started as a house party in 2013, and has now turned into one of the social gatherings to attend throughout the year. The idea is simple: unlimited (until it runs out) Hennessy, great DJs, a large venue, and people that just want to dance and have fun. The Henny Palooza team has now hosted events all over the U.S. including Atlanta, DC, NYC, Miami, LA and counting.
If you are like us and enjoy a great house party you should see if there is a Henny Palooza coming to a city near you! If not, join the drone of people that fly out to this event in different cities. This weekend alone I met people from Boston, NY, DC and Chicago that all descended to Atlanta to turn up southern style.
This is an event where you want to be cute and comfortable, but also be ready to dance and sweat your bum off with a few hundred of your new best friends. If you don’t like lines… don’t go. Your ticket includes unlimited Hennessy but the lines to grab beverages tend to have a 20-40 minute wait. So once you get in line you’re in there for a while. We’ve found that one of the best plans to decrease your time in line is to have you and your friends stand together and pass back a few drinks at a time. No matter what strategy you follow, there’s no time to get mad; at this point you just have to turn your frown upside down and make friends with your fellow ‘line-mates’. Just because you are in tight quarters, it doesn’t mean you can’t continue partying while you’re in line.
While the party is centered around Hennessy, if you love to dance and don’t mind spending a little money, this event is great for everyone. The music is great (Atlanta has two different rooms), people are fun, and everyone is just trying to have a good time. The best part? Henny Palooza is a day party, so you still have time to find food afterwards and get plenty of sleep -- in case you had a little too much Henny in your system.
