"I crave a love so deep that the ocean would be jealous”- Anonymous
You can say that I am a hopeless romantic, that’s what my friends call me. I believe in “Colossal Love”. The one that allows you to be swept off your feet. The kind of love that sets your soul on fire and leaves you gasping with excitement throughout the years. The kind of love that allows you to be a choice in your partner’s life and not a convenience. The kind of love that is real and honest, and teaches you more than you could ever imagine, leaving you with so much joy than it takes. You know the kind of love they write about in romance novels and movies? Yeah - that kind.
My dears, if you have been fortunate enough to have experienced this kind of love in your lifetime, hold on to it. Because here are what romance movies won’t tell you:
In experiences like this, the most important decision that we can make is to let each other go and be ok with the idea that this is not the one that we are meant to marry and grow old with.
Although such love comes to end, it also doesn’t diminish the value they added to our lives. Because at one point in time, it was exactly what we needed. So, any attempt to minimize their value and worth or the memories and experiences shared in order to justify our reasoning will only speak volumes of who we are as a person and our character.
Instead, we should just be thankful that at one point in time, our paths crossed and we met each other, we got to experience loving another human being selflessly. We got to learn from the experiences and moments that we shared and our life will forever be changed because of them. Whether we choose to agree or not, people come into our lives for a reason, and some times they touch our lives in valuable ways, leaving an impact that no one could ever match.
