Call it a new found appreciation, shoe envy from my friends that are always up on the latest fashions, or living in New York-- but I have found myself admiring shoes more than clothing or people these days. Whether I’m out for happy hour with friends or at the airport for another trip I have noticed my eyes have steadily been trending downwards to check out what people are choosing to adore on their feet. I have never been a ‘fashionista’ or one that heavily follows trends (unless you’re counting my long lost sneaker days), I usually try to gear my wardrobe from head to toe with the idea of comfort first fashion after and would focus on the accessories.
However, this season’s footwear has really caught my eye and I wanted to share with you my favorite fearless shoes that will take everywhere from the office, to a party, or the beach!
Mules: Now, I can’t say I was skeptical when I first saw that these were coming back. I remember the days where my mom loveddd slide on or when everyone was wearing the 100x less fabulous ‘chinese’ slippers. They have definitely classed up these classic mom shoes and made them sexy. Let us know in the comments, do you prefer them as heels or flats?
Ankle Wrap Heels: Speaking of sexy, I don’t think it gets better than this. There’s something so alluring about strappy heels that wrap around your ankle. They don’t look as suffocating as the lace up sandals of the past and the softer fabric gives off a sultry look.
Leather sneakers: Whether you love chucks, Axel Arigatos, adidas a great pair of leather sneakers can take you from the office to a festival in .05 seconds. I love the class that a clean pair of leather sneakers brings to an outfit!
Fan Favorite: Embellished shoes: I added these to the list because while I like the look of embellished shoes I don’t believe they are necessarily a shoe rack staple. These are super cute and stylish, but there’s no guarantee this trend will make it past 2017.
