You won’t know until you get there that you’re ok … The Hollars (2016)
I heard this said in a movie once and I almost cried. Have you ever had that moment when a movie just speaks to you? Like the character says something that resonates with you so clearly? Yeah, this particular line out of The Hollars moved me. Why? Because it reminded me of the #fearlesspath.
What is the #fearlesspath?
It’s the path that few of us choose to walk on. It’s the path that knows that there are lions, tigers, and bears on the road, but we still keep going. It’s the path that carries the most uncertainty, yet we do not falter. It’s the path that Susan B Anthony, Winnie Mandela, Graça Machel, Wangari Mathai, Oprah Winfrey, Marcia Clark among many other #fearlesswomen walked and continue to walk … It’s the path that reveals to us who we really are when noone is watching. It’s the path that dares us to be better than we could have imagined. It’s the path that requires the best version of ourselves, 120% of the time even on the days when our best is at 50%. The #fearlesspath doesn’t care about our skin color, religion, or even our socioeconomic status. The #fearlesspath requires more from us than we could have ever imagined.
The #fearlesspath tries us with fire so that when we get there, after slaying dragons and carrying the world on our shoulders, we can stand and marvel at just how many lives we have impacted. We can marvel at how many hearts we have healed, how many hands we have touched, how many opportunities we have created and how amazing a trail we have blazed for the next generation of #fearlesswomen.
This is the fearless path - walk in it if you dare.
Three women going through life.
