“Let us be grateful for friends who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom”- Marcel Proust
These past few months have been some of the most trying times in my life. It seems that every time I take one step forward, life tends to bring me back about ten more steps. When I tell you my life truly came crashing down, it really did. Before I knew it, I had to re-evaluate my work life and relationships near and dear to my heart. At times I felt lost, betrayed, hurt and down in the dumps. And throughout this period there have been a few people I could count on besides God and my family to help me navigate through my crises-*cue in my tribe*! Growing up I was always taught that it’s about the quality of the people in your life rather than the quantity and this saying rings true here. When you are going through rough patches, that’s when you really find out who the genuine souls in your life are.
So, to my amazing tribe! Thank you for being:
