Being a strong independent woman means that you seek validation from no one. It means that you back away from any situation that forces you to fit into a certain mold because you recognize that true happiness comes when you accept your authentic self. You aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo and break down barriers. And you are never defined by your circumstances but by your zeal to live life fully.
Being a strong independent woman also means that you never:
• Stop growing and learning
Strong independent women recognize that in order to progress in life, one must seek growth. And we only attain this when we allow ourselves to explore the world beyond our borders. When we expose ourselves to new experiences and ideas and when we challenge ourselves to step outside of our comfort zone, growth happens. Strong independent women recognize that there’s a whole lot to learn beyond the classroom.
• Allow other people’s opinions to affect you negatively
To be a strong independent woman, you have to exude confidence and a high self-esteem. You can’t allow anyone else’s opinion about you affect how you view or love yourself. Others’ perception of you, should never cause you to change how you look physically or how you choose to express yourself. Strong women own who they are!
• Remain in unhealthy romantic relationships
When a strong woman finds herself in a toxic relationship, she cuts her losses and keeps it pushing without second guessing her decision. Strong independent women know their worth. They recognize the value that they add to to a relationship. They know what they bring to the table- hell they even bring the whole damn table at times and they know what they deserve so settling for anything less doesn’t work for them. And when a strong independent woman removes herself from such a situation, she does that with her head held high because she knows lowering her standards isn’t who she is.
• Neglect your dreams and goals
Strong independent women always focus on their focus. They keep their eyes on the prize and they do all that they can to attain their dreams and goals. They are go-getters, and know they don’t have to depend on anyone to give them what they need. They hustle and grind without complaining and their drive to succeed is undeniable.
• Compete with other women
Strong independent women recognize that another woman’s success isn’t competition. Contrary to popular belief there’s enough room for everyone to succeed and strive! when a strong independent woman sees another Queen doing her thing, She uses that as a means to inspire and motivate herself to get on her grind. And when she sees her fellow Queen's crown falling, she uplifts and encourages her to recognize her inestimable worth that comes from her creator!
Three women going through life.
