I am a huge technophile! However, I am also someone that struggles with habit transformation. One of the best things about this day and age is that there are apps for almost everything and habit transformation is one of them!
Are you looking to read more, stop smoking, Or even floss your teeth after every meal? But for some reason you are still struggling with turning these into habits? Well, allow me to introduce you to Streak.
This app can help you with almost anything! To begin, you can use some of the out of the box options like - eat three healthy meals a day or you can create your own habits that you would like to form like - write daily in a journal for instance.
It’s one of those apps that literally gets you engaged and invested in not only changing, but also maintaining a new habit. This is why I call it transformative. It allows you to stop the negative behaviors and adopt new - and in my case - healthier ones! I will also give it kudos for usability. The apps UX (user experience) is absolutely intuitive and the fact that it syncs with health apps like FitBit and My Fitness Pal, allows for the data across these platforms to be shared with the app! I don’t have to re-key how much water I drink. I capture that in my Hydrate app, which then pushes this amount to my FitBit and Streak! Gosh you have to love some good API - but I digress.
