While these documentaries vastly differ from each other, I hope it inspires you and continues to push the message that women’s rights and protections should simply be considered Human Rights.
It’s important for us to remember that women are the fabric that keep our society together and that our basic rights and protections should be defended at all costs. As an avid documentary watcher, I hope you enjoy these fearless picks!

The disparity in the number of males to females in those countries, leads to higher rates of sex trafficking, prostitution, and kidnapping of young girls for marriages. This is one of those documentaries that is truly eye-opening to the value that we should place on the girl child.

This documentary takes a look at the aftermath of the horrific rape and murder case of a 23 year old medical intern in India. This incident sparked mass protests within the country and around the world. For the first time India witnessed 'gender consciousness' and extraordinary solidarity by the ordinary citizens - like never before. This is a true tearjerker and will leave wanting to protest for women’s rights and protection.
