I’m sure by now you have figured out what today’s #WGMG rant is about! Seriously, why do some people just feel the need to always be habitually late? I can totally understand being late every now and then but if you are that person who chooses to show up late every damn time no matter what the occasion may be, then my friend you are just an inconsiderate human being. Do you choose to be tardy because it garners attention when you make an entrance? Or do you feel that wasting our time when you are asked to show up to a 6 o’clock dinner and you show up at 7:00pm instead is cool? Look here you are rude and selfish, the fact that you don’t even value our time speaks volumes of your character. You pretty much gave us the middle finger without having to physically do it. It shows that we are so insignificant to you that you putting the effort to show up on time isn’t important. And by the way, you can keep your excuses to yourself; I don’t want to know how “busy you are”, or how you needed to “straighten your brazilian hair” blah blah. If you are so busy then you shouldn’t make plans you can’t keep. If I can’t rely on you to meet me for a simple brunch at a decent time, how can I rely on you to be there for the important things in my life. You always being late just shows us that you are irresponsible and can’t follow through.
I could go on and on but you get the gist. If you truly are a late comer to everything, then you need to learn how to be respectful of other’s time. Everyone is busy in their lives, we all have a million and one thing to handle and take care of in our schedule, so if we have to wait on you for an extra 30 minutes we could have spent that time taking care of our priorities and responsibilities. Let that marinate!
